Hello Stamping Friends!

I hope you are enjoying this Sunday and are finding peace, rest, and a little creative time today.

Today's cards are all so lovely in each their own way, but a couple of the cards are made by the same artists.  I simply couldn't choose between them!

Enjoy these beautiful cards today and be blessed.

Guy Greetings: "You're My Anchor" for Try Stampin' On Tuesday

Hello Stampin Friends!

Here today to show you the latest sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday and my take on it.

I had purchased the Stampin' Up set Guy Greetings and the Adventure Bound designer series paper from the current Occasions Catalog and I immediately thought of this pairing for this sketch.

I love this anchor image and I love that I had a special person in mind for this card.  It will go to my husband on our 33rd anniversary.

I hope you hop over to the Try Stampin' blog and see the other designers offerings for this sketch and try it out yourself as well!

Happy Stamping,
barb

Just a little touch of dsp on the inside for a bit of a surprise.  :-)

And, to add a couple of small details I used White Signo Gel Pen and a
Neutral Candy Dot.  Perfect touch for a masculine card in my opinion.

I hope you enjoy!

Simply Floral

Hello Stamping Friends!

Today's card was inspired by the clean and simple floral challenge over at
Earlier in the day I had created this watercolor background with watercolor paper and SU ink refills and set it aside to dry, and when I saw this theme challenge, I knew I had to use this background to create my card.

I chose the color scheme with the help of my Color Coach.  Bless its heart!

The stamp set that I used is called Choose Happiness.  I really love all of the organic and simple stamp elements in this set.

So, onto my card.
I hope you enjoy it and try playing with the Stampin' Up! ink refills.  They really are very versatile!

Happy Stampin'

Can you detect the shimmer and sparkle?  I used some retired SU paint mixed with rubbing alcohol and spritzed it on my watercolor background.

Ok...on to my second card...
This large sentiment from the "Big On You" stamp set
is a perfect focal point for a celebration!   You can find it in the current SU Occasions catalog.

I used Birthday Bash, Gold Foil paper and Night of Navy, along with Oval Framelits.  A little Night of Navy seam binding ribbon and a gold button finishes the card.

Here is the sketch for this week:

Sheer Perfection Butterflies

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today is the day to share my design for the Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch challenge.  It was a great sketch and a true challenge for me.  If you have a few minutes this week, hop on over to the blog, try the sketch, then link up your creation.  We'd LOVE to have you join in the fun!

I could have gone in a million directions for this sketch, (and I tried about 500,000 of them)  but finally chose to use this brand new Sale-A-Bration Freebie called Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum.  Oh.  My.  Goodness.  It's simply lovely, and coordinated it with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.

I will share my list of supplies at the end of this post....there is quite a list, but I'm happy I put a little extra time and effort into this card.  Hope you enjoy!!
Have a blessed week,
barb

As you can see, I used a second piece of this beautiful vellum to layer the large butterfly.  I love the added interest!

A touch of detail for you...
Using the Around Array stamp set and Basic Pearls

Buttons and ribbon make the world go around, don't you think?
Just love this Basic Gray (retired)and Blushing Bride combo so much.
