Delicate Ornaments For The Paper Players #259

Hello Stamping Friends!

Well, I still have plans to share a few of my favorite vacation photos with you, but I decided to share a card that I created yesterday first.  As you can tell, I'm already getting ready for Christmas, but I promise to share non- Christmas cards soon.

The minute I saw this awesome sketch froam Joanne over at The Paper Players, I knew the Delicate Ornaments thinlet dies would be a great choice.  So, because I want to give you some sneak peeks into the upcoming Stampin' Up! holiday catalog, here it is.  Hope you enjoy it.

Please forgive the lack of details about my card.  I'm not well versed in mobile blogging and I've had a bear of a time!  Lol

Happy Stampin From Utah,

On Vacation: Headin' West 2015

Hello Stamping Friends!

A quick note to you all to let you know that I am on vacation right now to the gorgeous western United States to visit my sister and her husband and to join my husband on a business trip.  Lots of states will be involved and I will post photos of some of my favorite memories as soon as I can.

The time goes by so quickly and when you've waited so long to go, you want it to last a  l o n g  time.  But we have enjoyed and treasured the moments of being together again, even though they seem to fly by,  and will always be grateful to God for allowing us these moments and memories.

A little stamping news:

**If you haven't visited Try Stampin On Tuesday lately, please go check out the newest stamping challenge.  It's lots of fun to play along with a sketch, theme, or color challenge and there is a great group of designers to help inspire you!  You may also join the fun via their facebook page as well.

Here is the sketch for this week:

**The newest Stampin' Up holiday catalog will go live very soon and as always you may order goodies from my demonstrator website 24/7.  I will post a card soon with new products to whet your appetite and to help prepare you for the holiday season ahead.  ;)

That's it for today, friends.  Thanks for checking in and remember to get a little creative time in during your week.

Blessings from the west,

Christmas Sneak Peek for Fab Friday #70

Hello Stamping Friends,

The Christmas season is on it's way, and I'm in the holiday spirit, even though it is in the 90's here in Oklahoma!  The Stampin' Up! holiday catalog is also on it's way, so I wanted to give you a sneak peek of a few great products.

I found this sketch from the fine stampers over at Fab Friday and almost immediately I thought the new Festive Flower Builder Punch (from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog) would be perfect for it.

I used Shimmery White card stock for the base, embossed it with the new Softly Falling embossing folder, layered on a piece of gold card stock, and then the new Winter Wonderland designer vellum and the made a beautiful flower with that same vellum paper pack and that awesome punch; Festive Flower Builder punch.

It is my favorite item in the new Holiday catalog!  The possibilities will be endless with this product, trust me.

Ok, onto my quick and easy card and the fun sketch.  :-)

Enjoy and Happy Stamping!

Vintage Leaves For Try Stamping On Tuesday #231

Hello Stamping Friends!

Back today with a bold, colorful, fall card for the Try Stampin'-Or Not-On Tuesday sketch challenge, using a very old stamping technique called One Sheet Wonder.  Remember that one?

You take a sheet of neutral cardstock and your favorite stamp set and basically collage the card stock, then cut it into usable pieces for your project.  (You can often get 10-20 cards from one stamped sheet!)  Another version of this technique is to simply use a 12x12 sheet of designer paper.

Check out these samples:  The first one is mine with a retired stamp set:

This example is from Jan Farring using the current Beautiful Bunch stamp set:

Ok.  All that being said, and shown,  I have my One Sheet Wonder card for you today. I hope you will join in the fun and post your card on the TSOT blog or on the Facebook page.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Stamping,
barb
