Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek: Petals and Paisleys for PPA 314

Hello Stamping Friends!

Well, it's been a busy time of life for us and my stamping offerings have been non-exsistent.  I hope to share with you a little more consistently in the next few months.

In the Stampin' Up! world a new holiday catalog is going to be released on Sept. 1, and my card offering for you today is from the new catty.  It's based on the inspiration sketch from Paper Pal Arts.

I used the soon-to-be-released designer series paper called Petals & Paisleys, along with the new stamp set, Paisleys & Posies.  I love the new Mint Macaron taffeta ribbon paired with the paper as well.   Swoon!

I hope you enjoy it and take some time to use this sketch for your own inspiration as well.

Blessings,
barb

I hope you enjoy it and gain some creative inspiration today.

Hello You: Regarding Dahlias for Try Stamping On Tuesday

Hello Stamping Friends,

I have a very quick post for you today as it is my son's birthday and we are getting ready to celebrate his 32nd!  My....time really does fly by.

So, today I have the new sketch challenge from Try Stamping -Or Not- On Tuesday.  If you are wondering why the addition of the "or not" in the blog title, it's because any type of card is welcomed for the blog entries, not only stamped ones. Any artistic endeavor is appreciated and welcomed!

I will post supplies for you tomorrow.

Friendship? Yes, Please

Hello Stamping Friends,
Here today with a card based on the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday.  Julee Tilman is the owner of Mojo Monday blog and is going into her 5th year of beautiful sketches for card makers.
Go check it out when you have a second.  :-)

For my card I've used the soon to be released Best Year Ever
designer series paper from the 2015 Sale-A-Bration Catalog
(I can't wait for you all to see the goodies that you can choose for FREE with a $50.00 purchase.  Lots of cute, cute stuff going on in this catty!)  And the From My Heart stamp set. I stamped the image and fussy cut both the circle and the extra friendship banner.  Hope you enjoy!

Hopeful Butterflies for TSOT #197

Hello Stamping Friends,
It's good to be back at blogging after the 3 super busy weeks I've had.  Our board game convention (boardgamegeek.con) was so much fun, Thanksgiving was a feast, and my birthday season has been incredibly full of blessings.

Today I am filled with joy for all of the blessings in my life with family and friends and it kinda just overflowed into my design for the sketch/joy challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesday.

These colorful butterflies exude joy for me; popping off of the black and white floral background.  They remind me of all of the diverse people who have flown though my life and made it so much richer than I could have ever imagined.  How grateful I am for the joy they have brought!
EnJOY!

Happy Stamping!

Peace On Earth

Hello Stamping Friends!
Here today with a card inspired by the creative folks over at Merry Monday, which is an ongoing Christmas card challenge.  If you love Christmas cards as much as I do, then go take a peek at their blog and join in the fun!

Today's card uses another of my favorite stamps from the SU Holiday Catalog, called Nature's Peace.  I love this image and wanted to make it special, as it is the total focus of the card.  So, I embossed it with a combination of Iridescent Ice and Early Espresso embossing powders.  I'm not sure the pretty shimmer shows very well in my photos, but it's the perfect touch in real life!
I hope you enjoy this card and plan for some creative time this weekend.

Happy Stamping,
barb

I also wanted to make the card special in and of itself, so I chose to make an easel card.  I used Under The Tree dsp for the card, and the envelope as well.  This design really puts the card on display for the recipient.  ;)

Inside:
Right after I ink distressed the cardstock, I sprinkled Iridescent Ice over the still slightly wet edges, and what stuck, I heated.  It's a subtle, sparkly touch.

Glory To The Newborn King!

 Hello Again, Stamping Friends!
You guessed it!  I'm on a holiday kick these days, and why not?  Stampin' Up! has a wonderful new holiday mini catalog out and it is jam packed full of holiday paper crafting and scrapbooking delights.  ;)
Today's card was based on this sketch challenge over at Paper Pal Arts.  Once again they (Nicole Watt) hit it out of the park! I used all new products for this Christmas card.  I've loved the All Is Calm designer paper and thought it a fitting backdrop to such an important sentiment, which is from a  The Newborn King stamp set.  With just a hint of royal "pop" the dazzling diamonds glimmer quietly makes it's appearance.   I challenge you to take a few minutes this weekend and play along with this sketch, and if you do, please share it with me!

Happy Stamping,
barb

Here is my card and envelope:
The envelope punch board provides the perfect finish to any card you make; a coordinated envelope!

The Details:
I use a mix of White and Iridescent Ice Embossing powders for the sentiment.

The Glimmer:
Stampin' Up! Basic Pearls and Glimmer paper always provide just the right amount of lux.
