Thank You, For PP303

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's good to be back today to post an offering for the The Paper Players color challenge this week.  I have pretty much fallen head over heels in love with the Blooms and Bliss designer series paper in the new Stampin Up annual catalog.  Gosh it's so soft and pretty, and it worked perfectly with this color challenge from Nance
I hope you check into using this beautiful new paper too!

Enjoy and happy stamping,
barb

An In-Color 1st Birthday!!

Hello Stampers!

Today's post is all about turning 1 year old.  ;)  We have some young friends with whom we celebrated their 3rd child's milestone of becoming 1 year old and almost walking.  Oh my, this child has stolen my heart.  I wanted a special card for her first birthday, and I wanted to use the Typeset Bigz numbers die, so I took to Pinterest to find inspiration.  I found this card by Selene Kempton and was instantly sure that I wanted to CASE her darling card.  But, hers is very masculine and very primary and I needed feminine and soft.  2013-14 In Colors to the rescue!!  So, here is what I came up with for Marlowe, my favorite 1 year old.   I hope you enjoy some stampin' time this weekend!
Blessings,

Chalk Talk and Tape It

Hello Ladies,
While trying to find inspiration for my make and take card last weekend I  scoured through blogs and websites, and finally landed on Jenny Peterson's  blog.  She used  the new "Tape It"  stamp set and that became the focus of my card with the sentiment from the new "Chalk Talk" set.  A bit of a different color scheme, and this card was born!  Basic Gray card base, Whisper White panel on front, and the color combo idea of Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, and Smoky Slate was straight from the color coach.  Markers, the wide oval punch and the decorative label punch finished off the sentiment, with a touch of basic gray ribbon underneath.  Hope you enjoy this quick and easy card today and try this sketch sometime, too!

Birthday Basics and Bling!

 Hello Friends,
Here today with a new card inspired by a sketch challenge from the folks over at Sunday Stamps AND the Bling challenge at Paper PlayersI absolutely love the new Birthday Basics designer series paper from Stampin Up and I thought it would be perfect for this challenge.  It was a pretty quick and easy card, too.  A fun and bold patterned paper and an equally bold focal sentiment make this card a success for me.   Hope you enjoy it too.  (this paper is so much fun, I smiled the whole time I was playing!)   :-D

New "In-Colors" Are Simply Delicious

Hello Stampers!
Today I began my prep for my upcoming stamp camp and my inspiration was this card by the talented Mary Fish.  I really liked her sketch, but wanted to use the new Stampin' Up! stamp set, Mosaic Madness and the coordinating products:  Mosaic punch, Modern Mosaic embossing folder, and the new In-Color inks.  I must confess that this set of In-Colors are my favorite group so far.  A dreamy combination, in my opinion.  Hope you like these two takes on Mary's sketch.  If you have a chance, hide out in your stamping space this week and just   c  r  e  a  t  e.  And,   e  n  j  o  y.

"Color Me Refreshed!"

Hello Stamping Friends,
Well, the title says it all!  Stampin Up has done a color "refresh" on their color families and it is proving to be a stunning choice.   The you tube video I've posted is a perfect visual explanation of how the colors have been brought back from previous "in-color" groups and introduced into SU's current color families.  I promise...you are going to LOVE what you see!

You may want to check which colors are retiring and
stock up while supplies last.**

Also, another great little thing to look forward to is
"FREE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING" for 3 days! (THAT'S THIS WEEKEND) Here are the details from Stampin' Up!:

"We're excited to let you know that we are offering FREE shipping on EVERYTHING April 6-8 (excluding expedited orders)! That's right. There are no minimums or limits and all order types qualify (customer, demonstrator, workshop, online). Did we mention that the free shipping is on everything?"

If you want or need anything, you can shop HERE or contact me.

I hope you get some quality stamping time this weekend.
Blessings,

Simple Elegance

Hello Friends!
Today's card design was inspired by the current sketch challenge over at The Paper Players.  The sketch was a clean and simple challenge, so I knew it was for me!  My color choices were inspired by the Stampin' Up! color coach

I really haven't used it much, but today it was my best friend in my design efforts.  :)
I hope you enjoy today's simple and elegant card.  It was great fun to create!  Happy stamping!
