Thank You, For PP303

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's good to be back today to post an offering for the The Paper Players color challenge this week.  I have pretty much fallen head over heels in love with the Blooms and Bliss designer series paper in the new Stampin Up annual catalog.  Gosh it's so soft and pretty, and it worked perfectly with this color challenge from Nance
I hope you check into using this beautiful new paper too!

Enjoy and happy stamping,
barb

Hello Mojo Monday

Good Thursday, Stamping Friends!
Today's card was so much fun to create.  Can we all say "Scraps!"  Yes, my friends, get our your scrap paper bin for this card sketch and create away!
 My card:

I was inspired by the Stampin' Up! Park Lane designer paper because of the dark to light options of this paper pack.  As you can see in the sketch, the strips gradiate from dark to light so I tried to mimic that idea in my paper choices.

I like how this card turned out.  Simple, clean and so quick to put together!
And, SU demos, it's a really good choice for workshops or card swaps.  :)
I hope you enjoy it too!
Happy Stamping,
barb

A little touch of bling always brings it together for me, and using the Large Scallop Edgelit is such a snap when paired with the Magnetic Platform

Daffodil Birthday Wishes

Hello Again, Stamping Friends!
Back again today with another sketch challenge from another new group called Sieze The Sketch.  (Love that name!)  So, because I already had my All Abloom paper stack out, and because I so love the Daffodil, Indigo, and Pool Party color palette, I designed this card for the sketch.  Oh, and the sweet little butterfly technique was simply stamping in Daffodil and outlining with an Indigo marker.  I hope you enjoy!
Happy Stampin',

Lace and Pearls

Happy Monday, Stamping Friends!
Today's post brings with it a gorgeous color and sketch challenge in one.  I stumbled upon this blog from down under called still addinktive and I wanted to play along.  Well, I stared at this sketch and color palette for a really long time  and I realized that I either needed to just start playing with colors and shapes or just move on to something different.  Therein lies the lesson I learned...just start.  It doesn't have to be perfect to be pleasing and shared.  Just remember, if you never start, you can never share.
happy starting!

Fly Away, Blues

Hello Everyone!
Today's post features two challenges in one card.   Even though it looks like it may have taken some time to create, it came together fairly quickly and easily.  That's why I have enjoyed trying out these card challenges.  What used to take me a whole day to create, takes far, far less time now.
Take a peek.  :)

The two that I combined are this sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday:

And this color challenge from Create With Connie and Mary:

Here is my creation:

Enjoy today's card and take just a little time this week to try a sketch or color challenge and see how much fun it can be when other stampers help your creative process to flow!
