Fly Away: Watercolor Wings

Hello Stamping Friends!

Here today with a very quick post using the Watercolor Wings stamp set, with my technique borrowed from Stampin' Up demonstrator and teacher, Patty Bennett.
I loved Patty's butterfly cards tutorial and I wanted to share her technique with my stamp camp ladies last month so I came up with my version of Patty's card, thus the CASE.  (Copy And Share Everything)

I hope you will try this technique and enjoy every minute of it!

Happy Stampin'

Onto my card:

I used the Notecards  for this card to really make the butterfly the star of the show!

Ready...set...take off!

Details:
It's ready to simply fly off of the page!  Rhinestones make everything prettier, don't you agree?

Timeless Elegance

Hello Stamping Friends,

I have a very quick post for you today using the Timeless Elegance designer series paper and the Timeless Love stamp set.  I fell in love with all of the cards I'd seen around the web coloring the roses on this gorgeous paper, so I thought I'd give it a try.

If you like and want to order any of the products used on this card, please refer to the stampin' supplies list at the bottom of the post.

Thanks for visiting and happy stampin'!

Here is the card sketch I used from Clean and Simple blog:

Here is my take on the sketch:

It's a very fast, clean and simple card with a few little pearls for accent.

"Very Merry" Christmas in July For The Paper Players #255

Hello Again, Stamping Friends,

Here today with a new card based on the latest sketch challenge over at The Paper Players blog, courtesy of designer, Sandy.

I loved this sketch because it lends itself to so, so many ideas and products and for me, Christmas immediately came to mind, as did this designer paper.  I really like how it came together and I hope you enjoy it!!

Happy Stampin'!

Here is my card:
I loved this designer paper, Merry Moments for this card.  It offered the perfect clean, modern twist I was looking for.

The sketch:

A Few Details:
I wanted the tree to be a clean, simple focus of this Christmas card and I believe the pearl and rhinestone accents are the perfect elegant touch.  The little silver strands in the twine also offer just a hint of glitz.

"Happy Poppies" For TSOT #229

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I'm here with my newest card for The Try Stampin'-Or Not-On Tuesday blog challenge.
I really loved this sketch from design team mate, Hillary, and find it offers endless possibilities.
There is also a flower theme this week and you can use the theme or not.  I chose to use it for my background.  Flowers and butterflies go hand in hand, don't you think?
I'd love to see you share your creations on the TSOT blog or on the Facebook page at:  Try Stampin' - Or Not- On Tuesday Challenges.

Happy Stamping!

Ok, now onto my creation for this sketch challenge:

My card:

The first designer paper that popped into my head for this sketch and theme challenge was Pretty Petals.  This paper is one of my favorite things in the new Idea Book this year.

You can't really tell in my photo, but the white background paper is from the new Color Me Irresistible Specialty DSP.  I chose the tree bark embossed design.  I like the subtle effects it offers in person.  I also love the effects of the new White Perfect Accents.  I think they're just the right touch on this card.

Details:
Then, of course there are the details.  They add so much to a card, don't they?  I really enjoyed how my little butterfly turned out.
I used the Watercolor Wings Bundle 3 step stamp set and the Butterflies Thinlits Dies to create the little fellow, using Tuxedo Black, Watermelon Wonder, and Calypso Coral inks.
And the double "hello" was created with both Color Me Irresistible DSP in white and the new In Color Envelope Paper in Watermelon Wonder using the Hello You Thinlit Dies, another of my favorite items in this catalog!

"Welcome, Baby!" For CCMC365-Sketch Challenge

Hello Stamping Friends!

I'm back today with a sketch challenge for you from the talented paper crafters over at Create With Connie and Mary Blog.

Here is their sketch for this week:

My card came together fairly easily after I decided to use the Zoo Babies stamp set and the Sweet Li'l Things design series paper.

I like the little elements on the cards and the star background.  It really speaks "baby" to me.  I hope you enjoy it today and maybe take part in the sketch challenge too!

Happy Stampin'!

"Surprise!" For Try Stampin' On Tuesday #227

Hello Stamping Friends!

Well, I'm back with a bright and bold birthday card to share with you...finally!  I hope you all have  been finding time to get into your creatives spaces over the past few weeks.

I have been spending most of my time working on projects with my husband around our house so we could welcome new living room furniture after 30 years of "early newlywed" style.  lol  It's been fun and lots of hard work, but I'm ready to have more time to stamp and share with you here on the blog.
So...onto my card this week for Try Stampin'-Or Not-On Tuesday

Here is the sketch challenge starting this week, but lasts for two weeks, so go ahead and play along.  You have plenty of time to enter your creation on the TSOT blog or on the facebook page here: Try Stampin'-Or Not-On Tuesday Challenges

Sketch and Theme Challenge:

I decided to post both of my cards; one using the ribbon and one without.
I think I really like the one without the ribbon as it allows the fun embossed paper to show through without interruption.  It's my pick.  Do you have a favorite?

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you get some fun time to craft this weekend and until next time...
Happy Stamping!
