Circles Galore!

Hello Friends,
Hope this finds you all well on this Thursday afternoon.  Today I wanted to show you my take on another papercrafter's card.  I found the inspiration for my make and take card at Linda Higgin's blog, HERE.  My three cards show a little of my progression to the card I will use for my event.  Here is my first card.  It is a very close CASE ( Copy and Share Everything) of Linda's card. I changed my ribbon and my sentiment.

The second card:
I added two layers of colored cardstock for the base of this card, changed the paper choices and the color of my sentiment to coordinate.  It is still the same sketch format.

The third card:

This is my choice for the make and take.  Notice how I turned the sketch to a landscape format, but it still follows the sketch.

So, if you find a card design online that you love, you can always tweak it a little here an a little there to give it your own personal flair.
Enjoy and Happy Stamping!

Shabby Valentine

Happy Thursday!
Just a little Valentine's Day inspiration for you today, creative ladies, from this great sketch found at Sketch Frenzy Friday.  If you get a chance, try a sketch or two this weekend.    Most of the products used in today's card are from the fantastic new Stampin' Up! spring mini catalog.
We have made our way through the maze of plumbing issues I told you about last week, and auto issues already this new year, and have come out stronger that we went in...and January isn't even over yet!   So, if you find yourself facing some kind of adversity today,  just pray, relax a bit, stamp a homemade card, then dig in and face it head on.  As my mother always says:
"This too, shall pass."

I Think I Need A Cupcake

Hello Creative Ladies,
Since this is the eve of some major plumbing work we are doing on our home, and 2 days before a good friend's 30th birthday, I decided to create a quick and easy card for both events.  :)  As you can imagine my nerves are a bit frazzled so I thought the idea of keeping calm was a pretty good one.  As for eating the cupcake?  Well, that was a great one!  I hope you enjoy the card and get some fun stamping time this upcoming weekend.
blessings,
barb
