"Thank you" For Try Stampin' On Tuesday

Hello Stamping Friends,

Back today with a new card for the Try Stampin'-Or Not-On Tuesday sketch challenge.  It's a really great sketch and, if I can be honest here, one with which I agonized for most of the day yesterday!  However, I relaxed a little bit, took a break for a country ride and an ice cream cone, and then came home and made this card.  lol  I'm pretty happy with my results and I hope you enjoy it too.

Happy Stamping,

The sketch: (courtesy of Hillary)

My card:

I used Stampin' markers, (Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Smokey Slate, So Saffron, and Crumb Cake) to color the holly and the bird, then blended the colors on my bird with a blender pen.

A few details:
The triple bow, made with linen thread, was my finishing touch.  It's the little things.  :-)
I will link to the youtube video to show you how to make this simple bow.

Sunday's One Stop, Blog Hop...A Little Late!

Hello Stamping Friends!
I was supposed to get this post done yesterday, but alas, it didn't come together.  But...I'm back today with a Sunday's One Stop, Blog Hop on Monday!
I just love the fall and Christmas cards that are being shared all over the web right now.  There is so much talent out there that it was really hard to narrow my picks down.
I hope you gain so real inspiration from these cards and take some time out for creativity to flow this week.
Enjoy and Happy Stampin!

"School Days" For TSOT #235

Hello Stamping Friends!

Back today with a brand new card for the Try Stampin' -Or Not- On Tuesday sketch challenge.  The theme this week was 'school days' if we chose to use it.
Do you think the theme comes through on my card this week?
The focal stamp is from a Stampin' Up! set called Words of Truth, and it's one of my favorites in the annual catalog.
Check the supply list at the end of this post for all other supplies that I used.

I was happy with how this card turned out and I hope you enjoy it too.

It'd be awesome if you played along with our challenge this week.  You can post your card at either the blog, linked above, or on the facebook page:  TSOT-Facebook

Happy Stamping,

Hello Stamping Friends,

As promised, I wanted to post some of my favorite photos from our time out west.
I had a great visit with my sister and brother-in-law in Idaho and then traveled back to Utah to hang out with my husband.  (he was working all day and I was stamping, blogging, and relaxing.)
So, here are a few highlights.
